Hello, my name is Yolanda Ding (she/her) and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. I hold a Bachelor of Medical Sciences Degree from Western University.

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming and difficult. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and empowering space for my clients to open up about their mental health challenges. Through therapy, you can learn to better understand yourself, learn new coping skills, and improve your overall wellbeing.

My approach to counselling is holistic, strengths-based, and client-centred. I strive to create a collaborative and culturally-responsive environment. Together, we can develop skills in your wellness toolbox, such as building resilience, exploring goals/identity, managing stress, increasing self-esteem, and more. I am dedicated to developing personalized strategies to help you achieve lasting positive changes and self-growth. My ultimate goal is to guide you towards building your best life—one with more clarity, meaning, and excitement.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, baking, and building miniature 3D puzzles. I look forward to working with you on your mental health journey.

Yolanda's services may be eligible for insurance coverage under extended health benefit plans that cover the services of Registered Psychotherapists. Please note: It is your responsibility to find out from your employer and/or insurance company about the type of mental health coverage you have. Valley Connections Counselling and our therapists are not responsible for determining whether or not your insurance company will reimburse you for our services. Please find out the details of your benefits package before booking and attending your therapy sessions. Should you attend sessions and later learn that your insurance company will not cover your therapy sessions, you are responsible for paying for the fees of all attended sessions as well as any future sessions you choose to attend.
