Kiara Panetta, BSc, MA, RP
My name is Kiara Panetta and I provide Counselling and Psychotherapy for Valley Connections Counselling.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University and an Honours Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour from McMaster University (Hons. B.Sc). To continue my education, I have most recently received training in The Gottman Couples Method (Level 1 & 2), DBT, Imago, Trauma-Informed Mindfulness, and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.
My priority when working with clients is to develop a strong therapeutic relationship, providing a safe space for my clients to explore and grow. Through the development of trust and collaboration, I aim to empower my clients to reach their goals. I take a supportive and strength-based approach so my client’s feel confident working towards their personal goals outside of the therapeutic office. I have a special interest in using mindfulness and meditation, and draw on various practices to create a safe and comfortable environment.
I work with individuals, couples and families with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, parenting concerns, stress, low self-esteem, bipolar disorder, eating disorders and grief.
