Hi! My name is Kylie Starkman (she/her).
I am currently completing my final year of the Master of Psychotherapy program at Adler Graduate Professional School. Under the supervision of Kiara Panetta, RP, I am gaining clinical experience while working toward registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
I offer individual therapy for youth (14+) and adults, providing a warm, collaborative, and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace. Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, and my goal is to help you feel understood, respected, and safe as we work together toward meaningful change.
I work with individuals who may be struggling in relationships, feeling overwhelmed, experiencing low mood, or carrying the weight of difficult past experiences. My approach focuses on helping you recognize your existing strengths while developing awareness of the patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck. Together, we explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, creating space for growth and more authentic connections with yourself and others.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and client-centred, tailored to your unique style, needs, and concerns. I follow your lead while drawing from a range of modalities and theoretical frameworks, including attachment theory and research, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Adlerian Psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices. Together, we will identify your goals and co-create a therapeutic plan that best supports you.
If you are interested in working together, I offer free 30-minute consultations to determine whether this is the right fit for you. I’m available to meet in-person on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and virtually on Fridays. I offer both daytime and evening appointments. As a psychotherapy student, my services are offered at a reduced rate.
I look forward to connecting with you!
