Hi, I’m Kamila Naqvi (she/her). I’m a therapist-in-training working towards registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
I believe that everyone deserves a safe, compassionate, and culturally sensitive space to be fully seen, heard, and supported. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, facing relational challenges, or simply looking to reconnect with your authentic self, I’m here to walk alongside you.
What’s always inspired me is understanding people at their core—their resilience, their stories, their struggles, and the ways they connect with themselves and others. My journey into psychotherapy has been shaped by a deep curiosity about human connection and healing. Before stepping into this work, I spent years as a Chartered Professional Accountant, educator, and mentor, and had the privilege of collaborating with NGOs on community-building and wellness initiatives. These experiences, paired with my passion for supporting others, ultimately guided me toward a more heart-centered path: psychotherapy.
I’m currently studying at the Toronto Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling Education (TCPCE), a program grounded in relational, experiential, and trauma-informed approaches. TCPCE places a strong emphasis on the therapist-client relationship, cultural humility, and integrating mind-body practices—values that align deeply with how I hold space in the therapy room.
My approach is relationship-focused and draws from modalities such as Imago Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Neuroscience-Informed Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. I also bring in elements from additional training I’ve completed, including somatic breathwork, nervous system regulation, and trauma-informed counselling for Indigenous communities.
I work with individuals from a wide range of cultural and generational backgrounds and strive to create a space that honors your unique lived experience. Being fluent in both English and Urdu, I’m also able to offer therapy in a language that may feel more comfortable and familiar for some clients.
Above all, I’m here to create an open, warm, and non-judgmental space where you can reflect, explore, and move toward the version of yourself you want to become.
If you are interested in working together, I provide free 30-minute consultations, to determine if this is the right fit for you. I offer virtual, daytime and evening appointments from Tuesday-Thursday.
My services are eligible for insurance coverage under health benefit plans that cover the services of Registered Psychotherapists, as I’m supervised by Registered Psychotherapists.
