Hi, there! I’m Imogen (she/her), a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I received my undergraduate degree in Forensic Psychology in 2017, and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. As a South Asian female, I understand the complexities of navigating through the cultural challenges that arise from being underrepresented. I understand what it feels like to have to prove yourself to both (or all) of your heritages or intersections. Together we will cultivate your connection with values, communities, and practices that can anchor you during times of change and uncertainty.
You are welcome exactly as you are. Here, we honour what makes you unique and imperfect. You already have within yourself the gifts, wisdom, and capacity you need to create a life that is most deeply fulfilling for you. Our process is collaborative; you’re the expert on yourself, and I’m committed to your thriving. I create a space that welcomes the emotions that might have felt too heavy to carry and too overwhelming to face alone. With curiosity and compassion, we gradually bring greater clarity and balance to your inner world. You can finally begin to unlearn the patterns that no longer serve you, and instead learn to envision and embody your wholeness.
I am passionate about taking an integrative and holistic approach, using culturally sensitive and trauma-informed techniques to treat the whole person and ensure that what is done in therapy is personalized, collaborative, and unique to you as a client.
Imogen's services may be eligible for insurance coverage under extended health benefit plans that cover the services of Registered Psychotherapists. Please note: It is your responsibility to find out from your employer and/or insurance company about the type of mental health coverage you have. Valley Connections Counselling and our therapists are not responsible for determining whether or not your insurance company will reimburse you for our services. Please find out the details of your benefits package before booking and attending your therapy sessions. Should you attend sessions and later learn that your insurance company will not cover your therapy sessions, you are responsible for paying for the fees of all attended sessions as well as any future sessions you choose to attend.
